What is home swapping?
Home swapping (also known as right to transfer or mutual exchange) lets you swap your home with another social housing resident anywhere in the UK, if your homes meet each other’s needs.
Homeswapper makes it easy to find a match. As a Hedyn resident, you can:
- create your own advert with photos and details of your home
- browse thousands of properties across the UK
- set your preferences for location, size and type of home
- contact other residents directly to arrange a swap

How to swap your home

Once you’ve found someone to swap with, contact us. Our team will guide you through the process and make sure everything is in place.
Things to keep in mind
- you must be a contract holder
- your rent account should be clear from any debt
- your home must be in a good condition
- we need to approve the swap before it can go ahead – this will include a house inspection.
