In case you haven’t heard of our residents’ panel Buzz, here is a short update to let you know what they have been up to.
People in the group have had huge involvement in designing our customer promise, sharing their views on what should be included since 2024. Now as part of their role to hold us to account, in every meeting they check back on our progress against the promises we have made to residents.
Other resident volunteers on our Consultative Panel provide valuable feedback on policies, services and plans, helping shape decisions that affect all our residents and their communities.
Recently residents involved in our engagement panel Buzz hosted a visit from Welsh Government regulators, who joined the group’s monthly meeting.
In the meeting residents discussed new regulations in Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), the Renters’ Rights changes and checked on our progress with the Customer Promise. They also heard how fellow residents on the Consultative Panel and the Customer Voice group had been progressing with their work on our self-evaluation process.

How the resident engagement panels work
Buzz is made up of nine members responsible for representing views of wider residents, helping us to shape our services. Six more resident volunteers on our Consultative Panel inform, consult and co-produce our services. These resident groups hold us to account on the delivery of our promises to residents.
If you’d like to be involved in one of our engagement panels, please let us know by emailing hello@hedyn.wales and ask for more information about getting involved.
