When people think about anti-social behaviour (ASB), they often think about enforcement. But prevention is just as important.
Our ASB and Communities team members attended Crucial Crew at Raglan Barracks, Newport, where local Year Six pupils learned about the impact anti-social behaviour can have on individuals, neighbourhoods and communities.
Using interactive challenges, discussion-based scenarios and team activities, pupils explored how to recognise ASB, understand its consequences and make positive choices. They also learned about issues including bonfire-related ASB and the importance of respecting those around them.
The enthusiasm and engagement from pupils throughout the day was incredible.
Events like this give young people the knowledge and understanding needed to play their part in making communities safer, happier places to live. A huge thank you to all the children who took part so enthusiastically and Nat, Bec and Lauren for making sure Hedyn was part of such a brilliant day.
