Hedyn hosted an engagement event last week for our contractors and suppliers. Welcoming 148 representatives from 105 different companies, we discussed our framework for sourcing, selecting, and working with the contractors and suppliers who help carry out work in residents’ homes. The aim of this event was to share our proposed approach to working together, and to gather feedback to help make sure we’re delivering the best service for our residents and communities.

The event was an opportunity to hear directly from the contractors and suppliers who play an important role in delivering services to our residents. By sharing ideas and gathering feedback, we can help shape future ways of working, build stronger partnerships and make sure we’re delivering the best possible service and value for money in our communities.

We know that good services are built on good relationships. Bringing together contractors and suppliers from across south east Wales gave us the chance to have open conversations about what’s working well, where we can improve, and how we can achieve the best outcomes for residents in the future.

Today was an amazing day and a great opportunity for us to listen to the people helping deliver services on the ground every day, understand their experiences and gather their feedback. We will use the feedback from today to shape our procurement processes; improving the way we work together and making things better for our residents.
