We’ve teamed up with Year 5 pupils from Milton Primary School in Newport to create a group of Hedyn Helpers; young learners who are discovering what it takes to build a community from the ground up.
Hedyn colleagues visited the school to give talks about the Ringland regeneration site next door, where we’re building 170 new homes and relocating a shopping centre. The children have learned about the essential roles involved in building new homes, and each pupil has been given a job that mirrors the working team on our Ringland regeneration site, from project managers to electricians and carpenters.

Over the course of the school year, they’ll continue to learn about construction careers, teamwork, and all sorts of practical skills, through the new homes taking shape on their doorstep.
Follow us on Facebook or LinkedIn to see their journey as they put on their hard hats to visit the site, meet their adult counterparts, and help us make sure we’re doing the best job for Ringland.
Thank you to our Hedyn Helpers. Together, we’re planting the seeds for connected communities.
