Welsh housing association Hedyn has welcomed a green/green regulatory judgement from the Welsh Government in its first full assessment since the organisation was formed through merger.
Published on 4 September 2026, the judgement awards Hedyn a green rating for governance and service delivery and financial viability confirming that the organisation meets the required regulatory standards.
Lynda Sagona, Chair of Hedyn, said: “This green/green regulatory judgement is a significant milestone and provides important external assurance that Hedyn is well governed and financially resilient.
“Achieving this outcome is testament to the expertise, commitment and hard work of colleagues, our resident panels and Board members over the past 18 months. Bringing two organisations together while continuing to deliver vital services and support residents through that change is no small undertaking.
This judgement demonstrates the strong foundations we have established for Hedyn’s future.

Paula Kennedy, Chief Executive of Hedyn, said:
“We’re incredibly proud of this outcome, which reflects the collective efforts of colleagues across Hedyn and their continued commitment to our residents and communities.
“A green/green judgement gives us a strong platform, but we know there’s always more we can do. We’ve been open and honest through our self-evaluation about where we want to improve, and we have a clear plan to turn that learning into action.
Our ambition is to build on this position by listening to residents, improving their experience of our services and investing in safe, good-quality homes and connected communities where everyone can live well.
